One recommendation letter provided by a professor or other academic staff, tutor or employer. 3. Motivation letter. For foreigners of Lithuanian origin 1. Proof of Lithuanian origin: • a certificate or other document proving the Lithuanian origin issued by the Lithuanian community of a respective country or other competent authority (an embassy and similar); • a document issued by a competent foreign authority (a school, municipality, embassy and similar) proving that the person has resided for three years in a foreign country if he/she is an alien; OR Official letter from the candidate’s higher education and research institution approving the status of a student, lecturer or researcher. _N.B. For students the letter must contain information on the applicant’s current cycle of studies (1st, 2nd or 3rd study cycle), year of studies and expected date of graduation_F 2. One recommendation letter: • from Lithuanian community abroad; OR • from Lithuanian education and research institution abroad. 3. Motivation letter.

The application will not be considered* if: • application is submitted after the deadline; • application form is incomplete or the documentation is missing; • applicants participate in the courses more than 3 times. Note: It is possible to apply only to one institution that organizes Lithuanian language and culture courses. Applications submitted to multiple institutions will be considered unsuitable and will be automatically rejected.

Lithuanian Language and Culture Winter Course will take place from 04-01-2024 to 02-02-2024 in contact mode.

• Tuition fee for Lithuanian language and culture course will be covered by the Republic of Lithuania and directly transferred to the higher education institution.
• The participant approved for Lithuanian language and culture course will receive a scholarship of 735 EUR.
• Travel and accommodation costs shall be covered by the scholarship holder.
• It is possible to apply only to one institution that organizes Lithuanian language and culture courses.
