Students have to apply for the Lithuanian State scholarship for Short-term or Lithuanian Short-term studies via Education Exchanges Support Foundation.

Scholarships for SHORT-TERM STUDIES in Lithuania offered for candidates who are bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral students of higher education institutions of the Eastern Partnership, ASEM, and Lithuania priority export market countries (according the citizenship):
Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Turkey, Indonesia, India, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, China, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, The Philippines, South African Republic.

Scholarships for LITHUANIAN SHORT-TERM STUDIES in Lithuania offered:
- for candidates who are students, lecturers, or researchers (researchers in linguistics or philology only) of higher education and research institutions of all countries of the world.
- for candidates who are foreigners of Lithuanian origin of all countries of the world.
Applicants for the Lithuanian studies scholarship are required to choose or design their study programme which might include subjects such as Lithuanian philology, linguistics, literature, Lithuanian history, ethnology and folklore, culturology, etc.

Vilnius University does not administrate the application procedure!

Information about Lithuanian State Scholarships programme and required documents can be found on the website of the Education Exchanges Support Foundation.

The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English (issued in or officially translated along with verified copies))

Students will be accepted at Vilnius University only when they are selected for the Lithuanian State Scholarship.

To be fully accepted to the University, copies of the following documents must be added to this online application:
1. Conditional Agreement for Studies;
2. Confirmation of Student Status (the applicant must be a student of his/her native university during the exchange period at Vilnius University_ NOT required for foreigners of Lithuanian origin).
3. Transcript of records (NOT required for foreigners of Lithuanian origin).
4. A copy of the travel document (passport/ ID card).
5. Confirmation of receipt of Lithuanian State Scholarship (e-mail received from the Education Exchanges Support Foundation).
